Backyard landscaping. how much will it cost to put in some concrete and grass?
BustedDreams asked:
I have a 25′ X 66′ backyard that I’ll need to landscape. I think I’ll want a concrete patio somewhere around 10′ x 12′ feet at the sliding glass door. A 1′ stuccoed retaining wall about 2′ from the back fence, and grass every where else. What do you think it will to do each a) if I have someone do it, and b) if I am patient and do it myself?

have a contractor come out and give you an estimate. His suggestions will be invaluable..
I would have the contractor do the cement work, you can do it yourself a little cheaper, but for a pad that size there are a lot of things that can go wrong. At least if the contractor screws it up, he is on the hook to fix it.
The grass part all depends on what type of grass, if you start from seed or go with sod. Seed is definately cheaper ( $30.00 to $100.00 depending on the type you use) sod is easier, and is fully grown when you buy it. However it will cost alot more than seed.
